April Fools

I normally hate April Fools...if it falls on a school day. Ugh. I mean, kids just think they're so funny and honestly, I can only fake laugh so much during the course of a day!

Well, I decided to have a little fun with it today. This morning, my homeroom students came in and had a word search on their desk. It had April Fool type words on it: prank, laugh, joke, trick, etc. What the kids didn't know was that only 1 of those words was actually in the word search! I saw most of them had found the one word (April Fools) but I was laughing as they kept trying to find the other words! Hee hee!

The other joke I did was that at the end of each class period, I told the kids I was disappointed in their homework from the previous night and that they were all getting a detention. I had printed out a bunch of actual detention slips with my signature on them. They were thrilled to take that home and prank their parents with it. The detention was to be held with Ms. Loof Lirpa (read it backwards!)

Any other April Fools jokes?
