There are those once in a lifetime moments that you never forget. One of those happened for me last week. I went on a cruise with 6 of my childhood girlfriends. Most of the time, trying to get together for dinner or a night out is an act of congress, so the fact that we were able to plan and execute a cruise was literally a miracle.
We had decided on this cruise 2 years ago to celebrate all of us turning the big 3-0. We left out of Port Canaveral on the Carnival cruise ship Sensation and cruised to the Bahamas.
Here's a typical day:
1. sleep till about 8:30 or 9:00
2. go to a 4 course breakfast
3. walk/shop/explore the Bahamas
4. go back to the ship to take advantage of the buffet for lunch
5. go back to the 3rd world country and buy trinkets that last a week
6. go back to the ship and begin the process of getting ready for dinner (for all the other girls that was a cut and dry process. I; however, was able to draw it out to an hour and a half ordeal)
7. take our pre-dinner pictures with the cheesy backdrops
8. go to table #241 to meet our wonderful waiter Murtika for an out of this world 5 course meal
9. enjoy the night life of the ship: karaoke, casinos, midnight buffets, shows
10. fall into our very comfy beds sometime around 1:00 AM
Here are some highlights from our trip:
One of our favorite things to do was take pictures. Here are some of us modeling on the ship's deck and just being goofy, silly girls!
It was the trip of a lifetime. We had so much fun! To read more details about our trip, read Amanda's vacation blog: Oh Vacation!
