What in the World?

"Who am I?"

"Why am I here?"

Ahhh...the age old questions. While I don't necessarily have these questions in my life, I do have these questions when it comes to my blog.

You've probably noticed that I haven't regularly posted lately. I've just kind of been in a funk lately about what to write about. I can't get any thoughts together that are of interest.

Sure I could tell you about how I ran in my third Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

or how I'm finally done with school

or how Amber, her fiance and I went to Screen on the Green again this year

or about Camp Rocks '09

or even the wedding I went to last night at a beautiful place.

But other than my mom, would any of you really want to read about that?!?!

I've come to realize that I just don't have an interesting enough life to write about my daily happenings. Believe me, you don't want to know how I'm sitting on the couch right now watching the Today show!

Nor do I fit into some category of bloggers:

~I'm not a SAHM
~I'm not extremely crafty
~I'm not a fabulous cook
~I don't have an extraordinary talent

If I had to fall into some sort of category, I guess it would be the "single gal" category. Ugh... But do you really want to read about how I'm so tired of being single and long to start the next chapter of my life...being a wife? I just feel like I'm complaining and whining all the time.

So I'm back to nothing. No real niche to fit into. I'm open to suggestions.

Please help me!

I don't want to let my blog go, but I do want to serve some sort of purpose. I want to be known for something. Any ideas?!?!

Hi Staci- I don't fit into any of the categories you listed either - SAHM, crafty, etc. I am married, though I rarely write about just that. Sometimes I feel the same way you feel, but then something always comes along that I feel would make a good blog post. Maybe you could become a good "read" for other singles out there...you have a very bubbly personality, a great family, and you are active and do lots of fun things! But, I can also understand needing to step back from blogging...maybe give yourself the summer off. I really hope you keeping writing...I love stopping by!

Staci, you know I'm in the same boat as you. I totally understand the struggle of "why blog?", but I keep telling myself that since I'm not faithful to a journal or diary anymore, it will be nice to look back at this time in my life when I AM married and have MANY children (Yes and AMEN), knowing that I enjoyed every part of the journey God put me (And You) on!

And I know that sounds cliche, but there is inherent truth in it.

And you ARE good at a lot of things!!! You are an excellent baker and cake maker, lover of all things involving family and friends, a good friend (I have contacts who will back me up on this), and an awesome teacher. :)

Wow, i totally understand! I love my blog but I just feel like I don't have much to say without pictures and I am so worn out that it's too much brain power to sit down and blog. I need to get back at it this summer! I think you are totally interesting! I enjoy your blog!

You're always doing something fun or clever!! And I agree with the 1st comment about being a good read for other single ... she's right - you have a great personality, a great FAMILY & are active w/lots of stuff going on. Plus, I get tired of reading the sahm blogs alot b/c that's what i am ... I'd rather escape it sometimes!!

Are you kidding me? I love hearing everything about you--and you are crafty--and a good cook--and altho' you aren't a mom, you have awesome ideas for kids (and probably spend more time w/kids than a lot of moms do!), you have great spiritual insight and you're just funny!

Regardless I think the title of your blog is perfectly you---it's just a chronicle of Staci. And I love Staci! Simply Staci.
